Does this price include all food and drinks?
3 meals a day yes. If you choose to dine somewhere else that is ok too. Alcoholic drinks are not included.
What if I have food allergies or restrictions?
Since meals are provided by a private chef, we can accommodate.
What airport do I fly into?
Pick up will be provided from San Jose (SJO) on 3/1. If you choose to stay longer and not take provided transportation back to airport on 3/6, private transportation can be scheduled at additional cost.
What is the theme of this trip?
Having fun! Exploring new things. Having space to relax, have some adventures, and form new friendships. This retreat encourages wellness by reducing stress, exploring, getting out into nature, giving yourself space to just be and forming new social connections. There is no yoga or formal meditation. We can arrange a massage for you or reiki session.
Is there a beach nearby?
YES! It is not in walking distance, but you will have several opportunities to head there as a group. It’s just a few minute drive away. You’ll also have free time to do anything you’d like. There is also a pool on the property.
How many people will be on the trip?
In total 8 including myself leading the group.
What will the weather be like?
Hot!
Do I need any vaccines prior to going to Costa Rica?
Nope.
Do I need a passport?
Yes
Is tap water safe to drink?
Yes, in the area we will be in, the water is safe to drink. Mostly more remote areas run into issues with water quality.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
Nope. Your host has taken care of everything for you and many people speak English as well. When in doubt, just say “Pura Vida”
What kind of money is used?
Colones. You may want to bring some spending money for any extras you want, drinks out, souvenirs or anything else you may desire. Credit cards are widely accepted. U.S. dollars are widely accepted as well.
Can men join?
This retreat is for the women. There will be co-ed trips coming up soon as many have expressed interest. Please send me a message if you’d like to be updated on this. Men’s only trip will be a bit further out in 2024.
